Quad City Doo is a service of Bear Roots LLC, an Illinois limited liability company based in Rock Island, Illinois. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or our services, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

The short version: we collect what we need to clean your yard and bill you for it. We don't sell your information to anyone.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number.
Service address — the property where we perform the work, and details about it such as yard size, gate location, gate codes, and access notes.
Pet information — how many dogs you have, their names if you share them, and whether they may be outside during a visit.
Service preferences — how often you want service, how you'd like to be billed, and any special instructions.

Payment information

We do not collect, see, or store your card or bank account numbers. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe handles your payment details directly under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. We receive only limited information from Stripe, such as whether a payment succeeded, the last four digits of the payment method, and the billing name and email.

Information collected automatically

Service records — the date and time of each visit, and photographs we may take showing the yard and the closed gate as a record of completed service.
Website data — basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected by our web host in ordinary server logs.

How we use it

To perform the service you signed up for, and to plan efficient routes
To bill you and process payments through Stripe
To text or email you about arrivals, completed visits, schedule changes, weather delays, and billing
To respond when you contact us
To keep records required for tax and accounting purposes

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and agree to service texts, we'll use it to let you know when we're on the way, when a visit is complete, and if weather changes your schedule. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out — this won't cancel your service, but you'll stop getting arrival notifications. Reply HELP for assistance. We will not send you marketing texts without asking first.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Stripe — to process payments
Our web host and email provider — to run the site and deliver messages
Anyone performing your service — an employee or contractor of ours needs your address, gate access, and pet notes to do the work
Government or legal authorities — only if required by law

Photographs of your property are used for service verification. We will not publish a photo of your yard in marketing without asking you first.

How long we keep it

We keep customer and service records for as long as you're a customer and for a reasonable period afterward — generally seven years for records with tax or financial significance. Service photos are kept for a shorter period, generally one year, unless there's an open question about a visit.

Your choices

See or correct your information — email us and we'll send you what we have or fix it
Delete your information — ask us and we'll delete what we're not legally required to keep
Stop texts — reply STOP
Stop emails — use the unsubscribe link, though we'll still send service and billing notices while you're a customer

Security

We use encrypted connections on our website, and payment data never touches our systems. Gate codes and access notes are treated as sensitive and shared only with the person performing your service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.

Children

Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll tell current customers by email.
